Description

Northrop Grumman's MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) provides real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) over vast ocean and coastal regions. The aircraft can fly for more than 24 hours at a time, at an altitude above 55,000 feet and an operational range of 8,200 nautical miles. Australia is a cooperative program partner in the Triton program which consists of the US Navy, Royal Australian Air Force and Northrop Grumman. 

 

Your Role:  

In this entry-level position, you’ll be part of the Triton Launch and Recovery team, supporting safe aircraft movements across day, night and weekend operations. You’ll work closely with ground maintenance crews and air traffic control to ensure every mission is carried out safely and to the highest standard. 
 
You will: 

  • Assist the team during launch and recovery operations, including acting as the Safety Vehicle Operator. 
  • Perform vehicle pre-starts and aircraft preflight checks to ensure all equipment is safe and ready. 
  • Maintain clear communication between ground crews and ATC throughout operations. 
  • Record and report unserviceable equipment and help support timely repairs. 
  • Support perimeter control and documentation of cryptographic and sensitive equipment.

You’re motivated, eager to learn, and ready to kick-start your career in aviation operations with full training provided. You take pride in maintaining high safety standards, following procedures, and working as part of a close-knit operational team.
