Job description
As Global Tribe Lead of the Financial Risk Tribe in COO Risk, your key focus will be to lead all global Financial Risk-related COO Risk activities across the bank, serving all countries and business lines, including regulators and auditors. You will own the global applications (e.g. QRM) and drive the implementation of new capabilities based on the needs of key stakeholders such as Financial Risk, Group Treasury, and Integrated Risk. You will manage both business and regulatory demands, characterized by high complexity and strict timelines. This global role includes delivering on all key requirements from CRO Financial Risk and Business (e.g., Group Treasury) and maintaining critical global applications that support time-sensitive activities, such as timely replication process of ING positions. This does require the ability to also streamline operational
processes from an end-to-end perspective balancing new demand with continuously streamlining the operating model.
Work environment
COO Risk sits right at the heart of the Bank’s regulatory transformation portfolio and corresponding operational activities. We are heavily involved in various key risk metrics. For example, we translate our rather complex banking business exposures into impact on risk-weighted assets, calculate NII, IRRBB and provisions in line with the constantly changing business desires and the latest regulatory requirements. We also provide important insights into NFR and Compliance topics and cater for corresponding regulatory reporting needs. COO Risk delivers baseline and change activities for the Risk organization with the purpose of driving our partners to maximize value in a safe & compliant environment. We play a critical role in ING and service all business lines, CROs and COOs of the Bank. COO Risk is committed to take explicit ownership of the
end-to-end execution of regulatory transformation initiatives, provide simulation capabilities allowing for proactive risk management, enable business growth and offer reliable, secure and optimized daily processes.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Tribe Lead, we expect you to:
• Define and execute a strategy aligned with ING’s overall objectives and translate it into tangible short- and medium-term deliverables.
• Establish operational structures, set clear performance standards, and ensure effective execution across domains.
• Oversee key Financial Risk and Group Treasury initiatives, ensure timely and policy-compliant data processing and regulatory reporting.
• Align with senior internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and auditors, build shared roadmaps, and balance interests across locations and business lines.
• Maintain a strong external network, monitor market developments, and integrate best practices
into ING’s operations.
• Attract top talent, foster a safe and inclusive culture, and develop leadership and expertiseacross a global organization.

Required skills and experiences
• 10+ years in Banking, Information Technology, and Financial / Credit Risk processes and systems.
• Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in Financial Risk, Treasury or Business to fully competent level (Over 6 years to 10 years).
• Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver key objectives for the product (Over 3 years to 6 years).
• Previous experience of working in complex environment, dealing with multiple internal and external stakeholders (over 3 years to 6 years).
• Solid knowledge of managing large transformation/change projects (over 3 years to 6 years).
Exposure to Risk related topics and projects (3 years to 6 years).
• Experience with Financial Risk related data delivery, calculation and reporting (1 to 3 years).
• Extensive experience with senior stakeholder management, both regulatory as well as internal senior management [business lines, group functions, auditors]
• Strong experience in developing high performing teams and people development (i.e. coaching and career conversations).
• Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
