We are seeking a highly driven and reliable Treasury & Collections Leader to lead and strengthen the company’s treasury and receivables functions in Panama. This role oversees daily cash management, safeguarding of client funds, collections operations, and the execution of payments under strict contractual terms. The position requires a hands-on leader capable of supervising transactions, driving operational excellence through automation, and developing a high-performing team.

This is a key leadership role that requires strong financial discipline, strategic thinking, and professional maturity.

🚀 What you'll be doing:

Represent the treasury and collections function in cross-functional leadership forums.

• Contribute to company-wide initiatives related to financial efficiency, scalability, or risk management.

• Prepare executive-level analyses and recommendations for senior management.

• Support finance leadership in ad-hoc strategic or transformation initiatives

Treasury

  • Ensure strict control, protection, and daily reconciliation of client funds.
  • Oversee execution of payments according to contractual terms and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise cash flow management and daily liquidity needs.
  • Maintain and coordinate operational banking relationships (limited investment activity).

Collections

  • Lead and supervise the collections team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all receivables and cash-application activities.
  • Monitor collection performance and aging; develop strategies to minimize past-due balances.

Leadership & Process Improvement

  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects impacting cash management and receivables.
  • Prepare and present management reports and key performance indicators.

🌟 You’re a match

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills in English (B2 or C1 equivalent) is mandatory
  • 7+ years of progressive experience across treasury, collections, or broader finance functions, with increasing scope and responsibility in similar positions
  • 2+ years of management/leadership experience.
  • Solid foundation in corporate finance, accounting, and financial controls.
  • Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning processes is highly valued.
  • Expertise with high-volume transactional environments, preferably in global companies and B2B settings.
  • ERP management (such as Microsoft Dynamics - Navision, or SAP) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, financial compliance, and cash-management best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
