Purpose of Role
The treasury department operates a coordinated function across Grosvenor Property and works with other parts of Grosvenor in an advisory capacity.
The Treasury Dealer sits within the Financing and Front Office team and is responsible for the daily management of treasury front office activity across Grosvenor’s global business, covering cash investments, intragroup funding, cash pooling activity, FX risk management and oversight of KYC.
The management of these areas involves responsibility for the provision of execution, support, and advice on front office activity to businesses across Grosvenor, including co-ordination of Financing and Front Office colleagues in the planning and execution of front office activity. This position provides an opportunity to shape success in treasury, by partnering across Grosvenor’s global businesses and providing support as the organisation continues to grow. Candidates should demonstrate excellent technical treasury skills from relevant experience but also a pro-active approach and willingness to embrace new technologies in pursuit of identifying and delivering process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Executing Treasury activity across Grosvenor, including FX risk management, cash investments and intragroup funding.
- Operational management of the front office, including planning and delivering (personally and through colleagues) all required front office activity, management and execution of related contractual documentation (e.g. ISDAs) and the capturing and maintenance of relevant information in the Treasury Management System.
- Ensure all front office activity is conducted in accordance with best practice, internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
- Production of key Front Office Treasury management information, supporting the Treasury Risk Committee, Credit Committee and monthly cash returns report.
- Completion of KYC returns for front office activities. and ownership of KYC process improvement opportunities.
- Developing and utilising stakeholder relationships to source data and information to forecast, plan and manage front office activity, including ownership of the front office cash flow forecast.
- Applying an in-depth understanding of the external regulatory environment as it relates to Treasury front office activity, in particular EMIR. Managing the impact of the external regulatory environment on front office activity, including prospective scanning and preparation for relevant regulatory changes.
- Supporting bank and other external and internal relationships from a front office perspective.
- Liaising with the Tax team.
- Ad hoc projects.
Key Requirements
- An experienced treasury professional with an excellent proven track record, preferably within an international group.
- AMCT qualified (or part qualified) or appropriate experience in front office treasury management. Accounting qualification an advantage.
- Strong academic credentials, minimum of a Bachelor’s degree preferably in a numerate subject.
- In-depth familiarity with treasury documentation (e.g. ISDAs) an advantage.
- Experience of Treasury systems; experience of FIS Integrity an advantage.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Adept at influencing and persuading internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to simplify complex issues, being hands on with high attention to detail.
