The team

Hitachi Digital Treasury is a Center of Excellence in the Corporate Shared Services organization providing global Treasury, Credit, and Insurance support to the Hitachi Group of companies. We are a centralized support function with the core leadership team based out of the Santa Clara Headquarters. We also have regional team members in APAC and EMEA providing more localized support that is in line with the centralized strategies for controls and execution 

 

The role

This role is responsible for executing Treasury operations, ensuring effective cash management, liquidity planning, and banking operations across assigned entities. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding company funds and contributing to the global cash flow forecasting process, while ensuring compliance with Hitachi, Ltd. and Hitachi Digital internal controls, along with regulatory requirements.
• Based on bank account activity, administer daily cash positioning, liquidity planning, and cash pool sweeps
• Execute Treasury Payments in accordance with process and J-SOX controls
• Contribute to Global Cash Flow Forecasting process for assigned entities
• Support on-line banking activities, including but not limited to positive pay release for checks and ACH
• Initiate bank guarantees (issuance, renewals, amendments) and required to support business operations
• Maintain bank documentation, opening and closing accounts, including updates to authorized signers
• Update the Bank Account Management module in Hitachi, Ltd Treasury Management System as needed
• Liaise with banks on daily operational issues and strategic projects as needed
• Support month-end close activities, working capital reporting, and audit requirements
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, KPIs, compliance standards, and regulatory guidelines

 

What you’ll bring

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience is required
• 2-4 years’ experience in Treasury, Accounting, or Finance in a global or shared services environment preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Cash Management preferred
• Understanding of banking platforms and how to execute Letters of Credits and Guarantees
• Solid knowledge of how to navigate ERPs (Oracle or SAP)
• Strong stakeholder (internal/external) management, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Customer service orientation, experience working effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English (additional European language is an advantage)
