This position is 100% onsite and not eligible for remote or hybrid work. Candidates must currently reside in the greater Tulsa, Oklahoma area or be willing and able to relocate within 90 days of accepting an offer. Onsite presence is essential to support our research teams, collaborate effectively, and meet operational needs.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Trauma Research Data Analyst will partner with trauma healthcare professionals to assist, develop and conduct novel and innovative clinical research studies aimed at advancing the field and improving care delivery and outcomes for trauma patients.  The role will assist in preparation of study protocols, study budgets, regulatory documentation, grant/funding applications, manuscript development as well as collect or retrieve and maintain data to assist with addressing study questions and evaluating study findings.  Also, will monitor study progress and resource utilization to ensure performance of study activities in accordance with study protocol, institutional policies and procedures, appropriate regulations, and good clinical practice.

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Biology or any Health Sciences. Master’s degree in Data-Health Science, Health Outcomes Public Health or related field, preferred.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None.

Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in collecting and analyzing data. Statistical and Publication experience, preferred. In lieu of work experience, a Master’s degree with a research background in a clinical setting will be considered.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal skills, both written and spoken with an ability to inform, influence, convince, and persuade a diverse team. Ability to work independently under the general guidance of the Research Manager for the common goals of the programs, as well as work with investigators in a multidisciplinary, dynamic, fast paced and changing environment. Ability to manage and flex between multiple deadline-driven and ongoing projects while being solutions-oriented.. Demonstrate a high degree of integrity, enthusiasm and initiative. Knowledge of healthcare, documentation, electronic medical health records, registry, health sciences clinical research, electronic medical health records and records management. Excellent project management, data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management and organizational skills with demonstrated success in leading projects and interacting with cross functional teams. Demonstrate strong computer skills especially in the utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to embrace new technologies.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Aids Trauma investigators and other stakeholders in generating novel research ideas and gives input on study design and protocol development. Manages research studies or projects by collecting, retrieving, recording and maintaining accurate research data in a scientifically legible manner. Ensures scientific integrity of study design, implementation, and data collection to maintain scientific rigor and obtain high quality data. Conducts projects or studies independently under the guidance of Research Manager and Trauma physician investigator.. Assists interns or residents with trauma pilot projects and generates case reports and series. Assists statistician and other stakeholders in retrieving and maintaining relevant research data to address specific scientific questions. Assists Research Manager and Trauma physician investigator in PubMed literature search on relevant topics and presents findings. Maintains timelines to ensure smooth progression to project or study completion to meet explicit pre-set deliverables. May conduct interviews with patients or their caregivers for potential observational studies (CITI training will be provided). Assists in data analysis, reviews, and data interpretations to generate high quality research findings for publications in peer-reviewed journals. Generates and drafts reports, manuscripts, as well as graphs and charts to illustrate findings for presentations, manuscripts, grants, and other research-related activities. Assists Research Manager to generate regular assessment and status reports of the trauma program’s research and scholarly activities.

Working Relationships: Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or fact to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
