Duties: Trauma Program Data Coordinator
Coordinates trauma registry activities for the Trauma Program to include evaluation, analysis, trending, and validation of data integrity and workflow processes. Initiates and performs required follow up activities to assist in improving clinical outcomes. Conduct and present trauma registry reports. Responds to request for information utilizing available trauma related database resources. Support activities to develop and implement solutions to meet ongoing changing requirements of the State Trauma Registry.
Required Qualifications: Trauma Program Data Coordinator
- Minimum of three years experience in a health related field working with data collection, analysis, reporting, and quality review required.
- Completion of an American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) accredited Health Information Management (HIM) program with current credentialing as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) OR Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)(certification may be obtained within six months of hire or transfer date) required OR degree in health informatics, health information management, or a related healthcare field required.
- Must be a self-starter with strong independent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a self-directed manner required.
- Familiar with ICD-10CM required.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Program Data Coordinator
- Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (certification can be obtained within 1 year of hire or transfer date) required.
- Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR) required.
- Registry report writing and data analytic skills required.
- Demonstrate leadership ability to develop and maintain working relationships in department and organization to foster a team environment required.
