Transportation Supervisor

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Logistics Specialist shall manage, plan and organise the Logistics activities and tasks to achieve the overall objectives related to profitability, competitiveness, customer satisfaction, service, and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and optimise transport routes

• Handle storage and transportation of in- and /or outbound raw materials and finished goods.

• Execute procedures and guidelines in compliance with local laws and regulations, ISO 9001, ISO14001, and ISO 45001, JOS, and Jotun’s HSEQ Management system.

• Executive the shipments from production to the end-user

• Track orders using functional systems (e.g., barcodes and tracking software)

• Coordinate with Warehouse Workers to ensure proper storage and distribution of products

• Monitor and report on transportation costs and other relevant KPIs

• Ensure shipping documents are properly filed

• Organise training sessions for employees (e.g. proper use of machines and handling of hazardous material)

• Keep organised records of vehicles, schedules and completed orders rds of vehicles, schedules, and completed orders,

• Run efficient freight tenders for export and inland deliveries and research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods in cooperation with Purchasing.

• Take offers based on scope of work from different suppliers for export destinations.

• Transport invoice control & approval

• Receive & follow up transport service claims (FG & RM & IM)

• Follow up insurance process with transport companies

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

What We Look For:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position,
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial Engineering)
• Fluent in written and spoken Turkish and English,
• Proficient in Excel for reporting purposes,
• Residing in one of the following areas: Çerkezköy, Kapaklı, Çorlu, Beylikdüzü, or Silivri
