Job Description:

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Manage Transportation Operations for the Reno distribution center in coordination with the distribution center’s shipping and receiving leadership teams. 
  • Manage the activities of local carriers with regards to inbound/outbound processes, execution and performance for ocean, air freight, LTL, parcel, and TL modes.
  • Ensure domestic and international shipments are moved in accordance with company policy and procedure, and to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist Arrow’s Sales organizations on day-to-day shipment issue resolution, identification of root cause/corrective action and implementation of solutions to prevent reoccurring issues.
  • Collaborate with carriers, distribution center shipping and receiving teams, the extended transportation team, and other internal departments to resolve reoccurring issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous process improvements to establish and maintain effective and relevant shipment activities and processes and to improve efficiencies and drive cost savings.
  • Facilitate a proactive line of communication with the shipping and receiving leadership teams on changes that may affect transportation or distribution center operations. 
  • Manage carrier on-boarding to ensure smooth startups and/or transitions with no additional cost or service disruptions.
  • Support the shipping leadership team in ensuring the effective use of systems and tools to support shipment processes through transportation management systems and carrier systems; ensure outputs produce adherence to regulations and company processes.
  • Initiate system recommendations and support documentation to promote outbound shipment process enhancements.
  • Manage training programs and procedures with the shipping and receiving leadership teams, to ensure process adherence and compliance to established procedures.
  • Monitor, record, analyze and report on activities, trends, results, and recommendations related to shipment activities.
  • Proactively identify potential issues; develop and implement plans to resolve shipment issues.
 
What We Are Looking For:
  • Experience working with small parcels, ocean, air freight, LTL shipments and carriers.
  • Experience working with Freight Forwarders.
  • Ability to retrieve, manipulate and present data.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills with adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities and communicate to leadership.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a cross functional team environment.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience working with TMS, WMS and other Supply Chain systems.
  • Experience in export rules and regulations.
 
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent work experience
  • 5 to 7 years related experience.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$102,900.00 - $108,900.00

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
