Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Transportation Coordinator to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for enabling an efficient, compliant, and well-supported day-to-day transportation operation. You will achieve this by providing support to the Transportation Supervisor and drivers through daily route planning, staffing, and training.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:

  • Lead the daily operational planning, including executing efficient route preparation,  planning and monitoring to achieve high levels of service performance.

  • Collaborate with drivers, customer service, and management by providing essential phone support, resolving routine customer delivery issues, and covering vacant routes or absences as needed.

  • Ensure operational excellence and compliance by monitoring work flow, conducting check rides to train drivers on safety and security procedures, and executing daily metric reporting.

 

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in transportation or driver operations.

  • Strong knowledge of driver operational procedures, acting as an expert-level resource to provide daily support and instruction to the driver team.

  • Proven ability in problem-solving routine issues related to routing, driver staffing, and common customer service challenges.

  • Education/Certification: High School Diploma is required; industry-standard certifications (e.g., Forklift, OSHA) are highly preferred.
