Responsbilities:
- Plan and Schedule Shipments: Arrange transportation for inbound and outbound freight, ensuring compliance with delivery timelines and customer requirements.
- Carrier Management: Communicate with carriers and logistics partners to secure capacity, negotiate rates, and resolve service issues.
- Track and Monitor Shipments: Maintain visibility of shipments in transit, proactively address delays, and provide status updates to internal teams.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review shipping documents, bills of lading, and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze freight costs and identify opportunities for savings without compromising service quality.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve transportation-related discrepancies, claims, and exceptions.
- Reporting: Generate and maintain transportation performance reports, KPIs, and cost analysis for management review.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years in transportation, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms (e.g., JD Edwards).
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as PKMS.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to use data analysis tools for reporting and KPI tracking.
- Familiarity with EDI transactions and carrier portals for shipment visibility.
Compensation:
Base Pay Range:
$43,500.00 - $72,500.00
Final base pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to; role responsibilities, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and/or internal pay equity. Please keep in mind that we consider internal pay equity and hiring at the maximum of the salary range uncommon.
