HouseSmart Construction – Transportation Associate II

HouseSmart’s Transportation Associate II will work with CDL Drivers and the Transportation Supervisor to safely and effectively escort Clayton’s manufactured homes. This role will begin and end their day safely escorting toters and will work to assist teams on the jobsite with properly setting our homes. This is a dynamic role that allows team members to gain knowledge and experience on both sides of the Transportation and Installation of our homes. What You’ll Be Doing: 

• Consistently work to be as safe a driver as possible, helping ensure the safe and efficient delivery of customers' dream homes with our team daily. 
• Assist leadership in thinking through best ways to move and set homes including finding best routes, maneuvering around set obstacles like telephone poles, etc.  
• Quickly and safely assist with varies pieces site preparation for the home including trimming trees, moving obstacles for the home, communicating potential issues and brainstorming solutions, etc.  
• Work to become an expert with jobsite equipment including the house tug, jadde, platypus, etc.  
• Always be looking ahead, anticipating needs of the team and project, problem solving for the best solutions possible alongside the Transportation Supervisor or Hub leadership.  
• Making a family’s dream come true and delivering their home! 

 

When You’ll Be Doing It: 

• Full-time, Monday through Friday – Say goodbye to weeks on the road!

 

Pay:

• $17/hr+ based on experience
• Paid weekly

What Could Make You a Great Fit: 

• You have the ability to climb ladders, crawl underneath homes and lift up to 50 lbs.  
• You have a positive attitude and always work to be a team player.  
• You have experience operating various machines and the ability to quickly learn new machines like our specialty equipment listed above a plus.
