POSITION SUMMARY
The Transport Operation Manager is responsible for managing and executing landside transport activities, including truck and rail operations for cargo and containers. This role combines operational execution with people leadership responsibilities, ensuring efficient transport solutions while developing and guiding the team to achieve business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Execution

  • Manage landside transport modalities (truck and rail) & Cross border.
  • Ensure timely and efficient movement of cargo/containers between designated points.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, practices, and business plans.
  • Monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.

People Leadership

  • Lead and manage a team with full employee lifecycle responsibilities, including:
    • Recruitment and onboarding
    • Performance appraisal and pay reviews
    • Coaching, mentoring, and career development
    • Coordination of tasks and workload distribution
    • Decision-making on employee progression and exit (hire/fire decisions)

Strategic & Business Development

  • Set direction and develop operational areas to support business growth.
  • Align operational strategies with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate solutions within known alternatives and ensure effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Procurement, Finance) to assess cost elements and optimize P&L.

CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

  • At least 05 - 07 years’ professional experience as at similar role(s) in landside transport operations.
  • Experience in logistics and services industry is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Language proficiency: Native Thais level and Professional English level.
  • Proven leadership experience with direct responsibility for team management.
  • Strong knowledge of transport processes, industry practices, and operational methods.
  • Ability to work independently within defined boundaries and guidelines, with supervision on complex tasks.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to evaluate solutions effectively.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Broad technical expertise in logistics and transport operations.
  • Business and industry knowledge with a focus on operational efficiency.
  • People leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking and planning across short- and long-term horizons.
  • Decision-making and accountability in operational and managerial contexts.
