The “Transport Management Professional – Invoice verification” will assist with Warehousing COST verification process while comparing “planned” issued invoices by logistic partners (warehouse rent services - storage days) with SAP system in/out inventory turnover vs. shipping documents, heating protocols, delivery notes, etc..This role requires communication towards Logistic Service Providers (LSPs), Internal stakeholders (Transport & Log. pro Teams), Customer service (CS) & other business entities (BE).
Your tasks will include:
Coordination of transport & warehouse cost verification processes
Assisting in resolving warehousing COST verification issues between LSP (Carrier) and internal logistic Teams
Analyzing data identifying optimization opportunities and areas for improvement
Ensuring correct and timely freight payment and associated extra cost management (e.g. control of invoices which do not match system-based freight and extra costs, invoice accruals)
Review and verify incoming freight invoices from LSPs against SAP Inventory levels and agreed rates.
Perform system-assisted or automated invoice verification using TM tools – “TO BE PROCESS”
Manage the invoice verification workflow for price mismatches
Initiate and track dispute cases with LSPs for incorrect or overcharged invoices
Ensure timely resolution of disputes to avoid payment delays or financial exposure
Entering the Warehousing or freight COST amount into SAP S4 system
Contribute to automation initiatives to reduce manual effort in invoice verification
Liaise with Accounting, Procurement, Logistics, and LSPs to resolve invoice-related issues.
Coordinate with the Dispute Handler and Cost Controller roles within the TM organization.
Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders on invoice status and resolution timelines.
Identify gaps and inefficiencies in the invoice verification process and propose improvements.
Participate in TM system enhancements and testing (e.g., SAP S/4HANA upgrades, workflow changes).
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for invoice verification activities
The minimum salary on this position is 1750 EUR. The salary can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
University, bachelor’s degree or high school diploma preferably in a field of accounting or logistics, supply chain, business administration or general middle acquired education
Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting end-to-end processes
Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure
Min. 4 years of experience in accounting or transportation, logistics, customer service, 3PL
Understanding of accounting principles, practices with ability to improve on processes
Proficiency in MS Office package (Excel, Word, Power Point), SAP TM or FI, CO / SAP S/4HANA (freight settlement, invoice verification workflows).
Good English skills, both written and spoken
German language skills highly welcomed!

Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
