Transition Management Analyst, Assistant Vice President
Who we are looking for
We are seeking candidates with 3+ years of experience to join our Transition Management (TM) team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you’ll work within State Street Investment Management’s global TM business, delivering transition and interim exposure management solutions to institutional investors worldwide. You’ll support and manage complex transitions across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, and exchange‑traded derivatives, serving clients domiciled in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while contributing to the firm’s broader global transition management platform, including interim exposure management and reporting and analytics.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, requiring at least 4 days of work in the office.

This role will enable local delivery of our industry-leading TM service to clients domiciled in the KSA, and enhance our global coverage model by adding TM analysts in the Middle East. What you will be responsible for
As a Transition Management Analyst, you will:
Gain an in-depth understanding of the transition life cycle including pre-trade, implementation, and post-trade aspects.
Support KSA-domiciled clients and our global transition desk with pre- and post-trade analysis and execution reporting; planning and project management including communication across parties (clients, custodians, record-keepers, investment managers and consultants); portfolio management and order generation; collaboration with trading desk on trade strategy and instructions; and monitoring of daily middle office support functions (trade communications, reconciliations, corporate actions).
Conduct trade reconciliation between internal systems for accuracy and completeness prior to sending to middle office and custodians to ensure timely settlement of trades.
Develop expertise in multi-asset agency trading, exposure management, and hedging strategies. Represent transition and interim exposure management products as a subject matter expert.
Become an expert on benchmarking and measurement of our transition and trade execution performance through Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA)
Support sales and business development initiatives and contribute to thought leadership on transition, exposure management and trading topics
Contribute to projects to evolve and industrialize our suite of trading, hedging and exposure analysis tools – including ongoing enhancement of pre- and post-trade analytics and interim exposure management platform – working with our Exposure Solutions team, reporting and analytics specialists, and external vendors
What we value
The following skills will help you succeed in this role:
Portfolio management, trading and/or operational experience, preferably across multiple asset classes
Familiarity with Charles River Development, Axioma, or other portfolio and order management systems / tools
Technical proficiency, with experience using Bloomberg and other market-data sources for analytical purposes
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate complex topics and navigate projects with clients and internal stakeholders
Ability to work and problem solve independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining a critical focus on details
Strong project management and organizational skills; pro-active in seeking out the next project to help the team
Education & Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a portfolio management, trading, consulting, analytical or operational role
Additional requirements
CMA registration required
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, economics, finance or similar
MBA, graduate degree in a quantitative discipline, or progress toward CFA designation preferred
Experience with TCA, AI, programming languages, modeling in Excel / VBA and Python, data visualization software, and database infrastructures a plus
