Job Profile Summary
The role reports into the Head of Product Management (with dotted line reporting into the Head of TMO) and will be responsible for overseeing the technology transformation journeys across the Chaucer Technology Group (CTG) Product Teams. This role leads a key team as part of the evolution of the operating model and is instrumental in modernising the ways of working.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a technical delivery background and proven management skills. The role has responsibility for the defining technology transformation vision and roadmaps alongside the Product Management Leads across the Business Portfolios, tracking and planning the end-to-end product lifecycle, and aligning product roadmaps with business roadmaps. It also involves managing and mentoring a team of Transformation Managers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Architecture, Service Management, and Quality & Technical Assurance within a matrix IT organisation
They will lead Transformation Management resources (internal and 3rd party) across the product teams, ensuring that business and technology requirements are both delivered and are aligned.
Job Description
- Develop and communicate their Transformation strategy and long-term vision for the Transformation function, ensuring it aligns with Product Management and Business Portfolios broader goals.
- Coordinate with stakeholders within CTG to ensure work is completed on time and within budget
- Act as a liaison across the Transformation Managers, product teams and other stakeholders, and keep senior leadership informed on progress and challenges
- Responsible for the successful delivery of complex IT transformation, including modernising legacy systems, migrating to cloud-based platforms, and implementing new software
- Provide transformational management on large business change to ensure they are completed effectively
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential to create business value and competitive advantage
- Analyse current IT ecosystems and operational workflows to identify and implement areas for improvement and automation
- Being an active member of the Product Management, management team

Technical Delivery Management:
- Manage the technical planning, preparation and execution of all technology across the Product teams. Ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Technical Oversight:
- Provide transformational guidance and support to the transformation team. Ensure the adoption of best practices and the latest techniques. Ensure standardisation, simplification and effectiveness across the transformation value chain
Vendor Management:
- Monitor and review vendor performance against agreed KPIs and metrics
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and partners, to understand their needs and ensure successful transformation delivery.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks associated with transformation initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery
- Implement robust processes and controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Performance Monitoring:
- Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of transformation delivery. Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
