Transformation Delivery Team

The Transformation Delivery team is recruiting a Co-op Student, Transformation Delivery to assist in managing our global transformation by supporting the development, funding, and execution of strategic initiatives across Manulife.

This role will also develop and maintain the tools required to report and govern the strategic initiatives. Ongoing enhancements are made to ensure adherence to guidelines while ensuring the tools and process continue to get easier, better and faster for the end users.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Manulife’s transformation and strategic priorities, ensuring our investments are generating value for the organization and aligned with our strategy
  • Support the initiative governance process across the initiative life cycle, including business casing, funding requests, and initiative reporting across both costs and benefits
  • Represent the team on cross-functional work, identify issues, escalate as required, and recommend solutions to keep priorities on track
  • Act as a resource for insights for annual, quarterly, and monthly management reporting deliverables
  • Support portfolio discussions with transformation stakeholders across key business units and functions with goal of continuing to evolve and improve oversight processes
  • Assist with functional and regression testing of tool enhancements
  • Participate as part of the joint team standups and weekly product triage meetings
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for reporting

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies/Education

  • Enrolled in business, STEM, or equivalent
  • Interest in the development, funding, and execution of strategic initiatives
  • Excellent analytical capabilities; comfortable with quantitative and financial analyses, and ability to solve problems in a structured and logical way
  • Ability to effectively execute both independently and as part of a broader team, while managing a diverse set of priorities
  • Great communicator, with ability to influence diverse stakeholders and drive adoption and delivery of results/recommendations
  • Ability to work effectively in diverse environments and cultures
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP etc.)
  • Prior experience with Microsoft PowerSuite tools is be a nice to have, but not required
