About the team 

The Client Office AI/ML CoE team is a horizontal CoE for Client Office that is helping us drive revenue and bring significant savings to our businesses by identifying, exploring, and implementing AI/ML solutions.

The Client Office is one of the three verticals in FIS. It has various products and solutions in funds management, cleared derivatives, commercial lending, corporate treasury, insurance risk electronic trading, RegTech, wealth and retirement etc.

The team consists of highly motivated solution architects, data scientists and ML engineers.

What you will be doing 

The AI Application Support Engineer will be responsible for L1 production support of multiple AI‑based applications across environments. The role requires strong Python debugging skills, the ability to analyze failures in AI workflows, and close collaboration with AI engineers, platform teams, and product owners to ensure high availability, stability, and continuous improvement of AI solutions.

This role is critical in supporting GenAI / ML‑driven applications, APIs, and workflows operating in enterprise environments.

What you bring: 

Knowledge / Experience

  • 6+ years of overall application support experience, with hands‑on support for AI/ML or Python‑based applications
  • Debug and troubleshoot Python code, scripts, and services to identify root cause and implement fixes
  • Analyze issues related to:
    • AI model inference failures
    • Prompt / response errors
    • Data pipeline or integration issues
    • API failures and latency issues
  • Monitor application health, logs, and metrics to proactively identify issues
  • Perform incident triage, RCA, and permanent fix recommendations
  • Collaborate with AI developers, architects, and DevOps teams for defect resolution and enhancements
  • Support model version changes, configuration updates, and deployment validations
  • Maintain and improve support documentation, runbooks, and SOPs
  • Ensure adherence to SLA, security, and compliance standards
  • Participate in production releases, on‑call rotations, and post‑release validation

Skills

  • Good Python expertise
    • Ability to read, debug, and fix production Python code
    • Experience with logging, exception handling, and performance analysis
  • Experience supporting applications built using:
    • REST APIs (Flask / FastAPI or similar)
    • Microservices or service‑oriented architecture
  • Working knowledge of AI/ML or GenAI applications (support perspective):
    • Model inference flows
    • Prompt‑based systems
    • Data preprocessing and post‑processing logic
  • Experience with:
    • Linux/Unix environments
    • Log analysis and monitoring tools
    • Git and basic CI/CD understanding
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP) is a strong plus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
