Our Transfer Pricing team helps clients navigate complex cross-border tax matters and develop practical, commercially grounded solutions. As a Senior Manager, you’ll lead high-impact engagements, provide strategic advice to large multinationals and fast-growing New Zealand businesses, and build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and PwC’s global network. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring our people and contributing to the continued growth of PwC’s transfer pricing practice in New Zealand.
Based in either Auckland or Wellington, you’ll join a close-knit team of transfer pricing specialists who genuinely enjoy working together. We’re a supportive and collaborative team with a range of personalities and working styles, and we value building rapport, sharing knowledge, and creating a positive team environment.
By embedding technology and AI into our day-to-day work, we reduce time spent on routine tasks and focus on what matters most - solving complex problems, partnering with clients, and delivering meaningful outcomes. You’ll also collaborate with the wider tax practice and our globally connected network of transfer pricing specialists on multinational client matters.
Your day-to-day could include:
Leading transfer pricing engagements from planning through to implementation, including policy design, benchmarking analysis, financial modelling, documentation, advance pricing agreements and dispute support.
Advising on complex cross-border transactions, including restructures, mergers, acquisitions, and operating model changes.
Partnering across corporate tax, GST, customs and trade, international tax and PwC’s global network to deliver integrated client solutions.
Managing multiple client engagements, balancing quality, timelines, and team delivery.
Coaching and developing team members to support a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of PwC’s transfer pricing practice.

Strong technical expertise in transfer pricing, with deep knowledge of OECD transfer pricing regulations.
Experience in a professional services environment, ideally Big 4 or similar, managing multiple client engagements and delivering high-quality technical work.
Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities to expand advisory opportunities.
Leadership experience, including mentoring team members, overseeing high-impact engagements, and coordinating delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
Clear communication, sound judgement, and commercial thinking, with the ability to translate complex issues into practical advice for clients.
