Role Overview
Kyndryl is seeking a Global Transfer Pricing Director to join its global Tax organization with a focus on Controversy, Planning & Special Projects. This role will report directly to the Global VP of Tax - Transfer Pricing, and will be managing complex transfer pricing matters across controversy, planning, and strategic initiatives from Kyndryl’s headquarters.
The successful candidate will operate with a high degree of autonomy, executing global projects to completion, coordinating cross‑functional stakeholders, and driving results in a dynamic, multinational environment. The candidate will be supported by two team members and will work closely with the TP Operations lead.
The role requires high caliber leadership of team members leading to high impact execution (timeliness and quality), and effective interaction with the Business, Finance, Countries, Treasury, Accounting and broader tax teams and leadership to ensure goals attainment.
Hybrid office model.
Key Responsibilities
Transfer Pricing Controversy & Risk Management
Lead day‑to‑day management of global transfer pricing audits across multiple jurisdictions, including interacting with advisors, data gathering, preparing IDR responses and participating in meetings with authorities.
Assist the VP in executing multilateral dispute resolution programs, including Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs) and Mutual Agreement Procedures (MAPs).
Develop and maintain high quality defense files.
Planning, Optimization & Strategic Initiatives
Partner closely with the VP of Tax, TP to design and execute transfer pricing optimization and planning initiatives aligned with the company’s business strategy.
Support transfer pricing aspects of M&A activity, including acquisition integrations, post‑deal structuring, and operational alignment.
Lead or contribute to valuation projects, including intercompany transactions and business restructurings.
Special Projects & Leadership
Independently lead complex, cross‑border special projects with significant technical, operational, or financial impact across diverse areas such as: BEAT, WHT, Financial Transactions, dispositions, etc.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and influence transfer pricing strategy at a global, publicly traded organization during a period of continued transformation and growth. You will work closely with senior tax leadership, engage on high‑impact global matters, and play a key role in building scalable, future‑ready transfer pricing solutions.

Required Skills and Expertise
10+ years of transfer pricing experience
Bachelor's degree in related fields (Tax, Accounting, Finance). Master’s degree in relevant areas preferred.
In‑house experience within large, complex multinational organizations, ideally combined with Consulting experience in B4 or similar.
Demonstrable and meaningful experience in the specific areas of the role.
Proven ability to autonomously execute complex projects, motivate and lead team members to a fast paced execution model, manage multiple workstreams, and problem solve to deliver outcomes.
A results‑oriented mindset, with the ability to balance technical rigor, practical business considerations, and execution discipline.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is -$161,520 to $290,760 based on a full-time schedule.
Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.
For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.
There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:
California (San Francisco Bay Area):$193,920 to $348,840
California (All Other):$177,720 to $319,800
Colorado: $161,520 to $290,760
Massachusetts$161,520 to $319,800
New York City: $193,920 to $348,840
Washington: $177,720 to $319,800
Washington DC:$177,720 to $319,800

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off. Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
