What You Will Do

  • Be an active member of a team of technical experts and work closely with product development engineers across multiple locations. Serve as the primary interface to Harman AME, Manufacturing, Test & Validation, and CPD/SME teams.
  • Provide engineering-level technical support for loudspeaker production and validation activities at the HU plant, ensuring effective communication with local teams and global engineering groups in both Hungarian and English.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze standard and advanced measurements using TRSS, Klippel, and other electroacoustic test equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and interpretation of results.
  • Lead prototype, pilot build, and sample activities, including material procurement, supplier coordination, shipment handling, and end‑to‑end sample logistics.
  • Develop, review, and optimize build and rework procedures, supporting assembly of speaker systems and performing detailed part inspections, tear downs, and engineering analyses.
  • Define, prepare, and execute functional, electrical, acoustic, and durability test plans in alignment with engineering requirements, DVP&R, and internal specifications.
  • Manage and continuously improve the local storage database, ensuring proper part identification, traceability, stock accuracy, and compliance with engineering change processes.
  • Analyze and resolve build, test, and production issues, preparing investigation samples, collecting structured data, and providing engineering-level reporting to CPD, SME, and global engineering teams.
  • Support product launches and post‑SOP engineering activities, including documentation verification, part conformity checks, change implementation tracking, and build condition validation.
  • Support warranty and quality investigations by performing root-cause analysis, creating structured test reports, and providing measurement data, photographic evidence, and engineering recommendations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, applying engineering best practices, identifying process enhancements, supporting cost‑saving initiatives, and sharing technical learnings across teams.

What You Need

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Acoustics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Fluent in English; Hungarian required for daily plant collaboration.

Experience

  • Experience in automotive loudspeaker development, production support, validation testing, or related hardware engineering domains.
  • Hands‑on experience with electroacoustic measurements, TRSS/Klippel systems, and preparation of structured engineering test reports.
  • Practical experience with prototype builds, sample handling, or early‑phase product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and global engineering teams.
  • Experience coordinating procurement, part logistics, and supplier communication.

Technical Knowledge

  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) -> Working knowledge
  • DFMEA (Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) and/or DRBFM -> Working knowledge
  • PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) -> Working knowledge
  • DVP&R (Design Validation Plan & Report) -> Working knowledge
  • Problem‑solving methodologies (8-D, PHASE-5 test reporting, Fault Tree Analysis, Fish Bone Analysis, etc.) -> Proficient
  • Electronic components and assemblies -> Familiarity
  • Acoustic product testing and related tools -> Proficient
  • Electrical and electronic device/component testing and tools -> Working knowledge

What is Nice to Have

  • Experience with PLM / PDM systems such as Teamcenter.
  • Exposure to automotive OEM audio engineering or audio product development environments.
  • Experience supporting new product launches, production transitions, or quality investigations in a manufacturing context.
  • Experience working with global, cross‑functional engineering teams.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 5%.
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite at a Harman facility in the EU or North America.
  • Successful completion of required background checks and screenings based on regional policy.
