What You’ll Be Doing:

We are seeking a Transaction Management specialist for the Debt Capital Markets and Government Solutions Groups. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both hands-on operational expertise and a comprehensive understanding of debt transactions, ensuring seamless execution from deal inception to settlement. To support and assist in the transaction management of the bank’s Government Solutions Group (GSG) and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) teams across North America.  The role requires reviewing key transaction documents, coordinating the settlement of transactions, and liaising with the various Front Desks, Middle Office, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and external parties, including law firms,  trustees/fiscal agent, and syndicate banks

How You’ll Succeed:

  • Manage Capital Markets Products transactions from inception to execution/closing

  • Assist in documentation review, settlement and post-closing logistics of transactions, 

  • Provide transaction support including managing and documenting transaction costs, processing invoices and tracking reimbursement of expenses

  • Liaising with Operations, Support and Middle Office teams to ensure proper settlement of transactions

  • Maintain proper documentation records for transactions  

  • Ensure the completion of internal controls for transactions.

Who You Are:

  • Manage Capital Markets Products transactions from inception to execution/closing

  • Strong operational knowledge of bond settlement mechanics including DTC, Euroclear

  • Fast learner; ability to multitask and learn new concepts and procedures quickly;

  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with work;

  • Excellent Technical/Computer Skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint;

  • Flexibility, initiative and adaptability, with a willingness to expand skill base;

  • Excellent organizational skills;

  • Good team player; and

  • Ability to liaise, co-ordinate and direct with all internal and external parties.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $150,000 -185,000 for the New York, NY market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
