Job Summary

As a Trans Technical Writer, you will be part of the Interconnection Services and Integrated Planning team responsible for providing the highest quality documentation. Assists in the editing of documents for spelling, grammar, and content accuracy and readability. Demonstrates fundamental understanding of various software technologies used for document management. Assists in the layout and organization of manuals and other documents.

Job Description

NOTE: This is on onsite position reporting 5 days in office either ar New Albany, OH or Tulsa, OK locations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensures that proper documentation lifecycle controls are documented and followed using standard software technologies.
  • Coordinates with other departments & organizations during procedure development and revision process.
  • Monitors published documentation for upcoming revision needs in established documentation lifecycle.
  • Assists in the editing of documents (such as process documents) for spelling, grammar, content accuracy, readability, and consistency.
  • Assists or independently prepares and updates documentation plans. Prepares outline of content and written text. Coordinates layout and organization of manuals and other documents.
  • Ability to organize moderate to complex technical topics from various sources into one cohesive document.
  • Establishes procedure revision guidelines, procedure standards, and procedure writing guidelines.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and ethical behavior in all work habits. Maintains a positive attitude.
  • Promotes adherence to corporate standards, policies, enabling characteristics and ethics.

What we're looking for:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, or a four (4) year technology degree with emphasis in technical communication, or related field.

Experience: Four (4) years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

$74,551.00 - $93,188.50
