Job Summary: This position will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center at Port San Antonio, TX. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hrs. per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Major Duties:

  • Provides full range or administrative and operational support to the Force Support Knowledge Center (FSKC) Learning Management System (LMS) Platform and Blackboard (Bb) e-learning platform. Administers the LMS/Bb help desk function to include setting permission groups and password restoration for Unit Training Managers and Bb student enrollment ensuring customers' needs are met. Responsible for producing a wide range of interactive online e-learning products using Instructional System Design concepts and methods to conduct in-depth concise learning content analysis, determine and establish performance learning objectives, and presentation methods working within identified budget constraints. Administers virtual registration process for on-line and in-residence courses for AFSVA/SVXT. Creates new products using existing content files and resource files and deletes or reorganizes content to accommodate desired course length and learning objectives. Makes revisions to on-line course material as required based on internal /external customer feedback. Ensures production or course content remains on schedule. corrections and changes arc approved by competent authority and are incorporated into the final product. Administers tasks and tracks data associated with the LMS/Bb to provide reporting on usage and course completion. Partners with industry developing professional training and certification programs. Assists with AFSVA strategic plan initiatives. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training programs, materials, training methods, and training aids for the professional development of Force Support Squadron (FSS) activity managers, assistant managers, and flight chiefs. Establishes, conducts, and evaluates special training and education programs for AFSVA staff to aid in their development and professional growth. Provides consultation to other AFSVA personnel in determining course content development for activity specific training Programs, to include developing objectives, student outcomes, classroom materials, training methods, student evaluation methods, and program evaluations. Conducts analysis of training to advise leadership on matters such as training effectiveness, training program initiatives and status of current training programs. Conducts classroom instruction to include lecture, hands-on performance, guide case analysis, and computer-generated programs. Qualifying Experience: Requires proven experience with on-line learning development and design using Lectora authoring tool and on-line learning technologies. Experience with administering/operating Learning Management/Blackboard systems. Experience with interactive distance learning software techniques used in training program development for on-line and classroom delivery. Requires a working experience with instructional systems design methods and concepts and the ability to develop curriculum. Requires a working experience with computer software applications, electronic mail, report writing, and various written communications. Desired Work Experience: Proven experience as an Instructional Designer and understanding of adult learning concepts. Experience with Flash animation design, Adobe design software. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of adult learning theory and the ability to apply instructional systems design (ISD) principles across the full ADDIE lifecycle.
