Role Summary
Customer Engagement Training (CET) is transforming how learning delivers impact at Pfizer—evolving beyond required training to a capability-building model grounded in both required and aspirational development.
The LATAM Training Lead is accountable for delivering enhanced learning experiences that build and sustain Pfizer’s competitive advantage. This role leads the LATAM training team to plan and deliver learning solutions for commercial teams, collaborates with stakeholders to implement innovative approaches, and upskills client-facing colleagues. The role partners with the Commercial Lead to co-lead the Emerging Market (EM) regional training project.
As a member of the EM/China Training Leadership Team, the role represents LATAM learners’ and commercial teams’ needs and partners with content creators to define consistent, high-quality training across the region.
Role Responsibilities
The LATAM Training Lead is accountable for driving the transformation of training by:
- Working as a strategic partner to LATAM Commercial Lead by providing consultation and advice on learning strategy and priorities.
- Partnering with the Commercial Lead to co-lead the EM regional training project, leading regional training initiatives, and serving as the training subject-matter expert to support regional commercial projects.
- Identifying Client‑Facing Colleagues (CFC) capability gaps, defining training objectives, and evaluating training effectiveness.
- Developing training plans and initiatives aligned to commercial needs and ensuring the high-quality delivery of training programs for CFC.
- Advancing a self-directed learning culture by leveraging learning platforms to deliver innovative, scalable learning solutions.
- Engaging with regional and global training stakeholders to shape training strategy and materials and partnering with commercial stakeholders to define and deliver initiatives with measurable value and impact.
- Monitoring adherence to streamlined regional and local review and approval processes for training materials, collecting and sharing region- and topic-specific insights and performance metrics to enable continuous improvement.
- Ensuring consistent training delivery across the region (including product knowledge, skills training, sustainability programs, innovative learning assets, virtual tools, etc.).
- Serving as an active member of the EM/China Training Leadership Team by representing LATAM learner and commercial needs; leading cross-regional initiatives and assigned regional projects; sharing best practices; and contributing to the development and execution of a consistent learning strategy across the region.
- Defining the approach for integrating AI into learning and development and identifying high-impact AI use cases.
- Driving adoption of AI-enabled tools by upskilling trainers in AI literacy and using AI to identify skill gaps, predict future needs, and create data-driven learning paths.
- Leading, coaching, and developing the LATAM training team, including onboarding, capability building, and continuous skills development.
- Setting clear objectives and expectations for LATAM training team; providing ongoing feedback, performance coaching, and development planning to achieve outcomes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years’ experience in a multinational company
- Commercial experience in sales management or category management roles, including coaching and performance management.
- Experience working in a global context and/or successfully leading geographically dispersed teams.
- 5+ years of leadership experience, with demonstrated high emotional intelligence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and navigate competing priorities.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Fluent Spanish and English.
Preferred:
- Learning & Development experience, including blended and distance learning design and deliver
- Experience evaluating learning programs and materials to ensure learner and commercial needs are met.
- Demonstrated ability to drive significant culture and process change.
- Understanding of Pfizer’s business.
