Position Overview:

Prepares for and delivers training to end users. Partners with other training staff and subject matter experts to design, develop, validate, modify, and maintain training content, lesson plans, manuals, self‑study modules, presentations, and supportive learning tools utilized in training classes.

Delivers online or classroom training presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions for end users and train‑the‑trainer participants across a variety of topics, systems, tools, and modules. Prepares learning environments by coordinating classroom setup, equipment, seating arrangements, curricula, and supplies to ensure an effective and consistent learning experience.

Leads and supports training‑related projects by applying project management practices to plan, coordinate, and execute work efficiently. Tracks timelines, dependencies, risks, and deliverables; partners with stakeholders to ensure alignment; and adjusts plans as needed to meet project objectives and organizational priorities.

Applies data and analytics to inform training strategy and continuous improvement. Collects, analyzes, and interprets learning data such as participation, completion, evaluation results, and performance indicators to assess effectiveness, identify trends, and recommend enhancements. Prepares reports, dashboards, or summaries to communicate insights and outcomes to stakeholders.

Solicits and reviews post‑training feedback through evaluations and surveys and participates in post‑delivery debriefs to resolve issues and continuously improve learning solutions. Participates in workflow and process analysis as it relates to training delivery, project execution, and data‑informed decision‑making.

Job Description:

WORK LOCATION

This is a hybrid role expected to be onsite at an admin hub or at a training location 8 to 12 days per month.

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

  • Bachelor's: Computer Science, Learning Design, Education, Healthcare Management, Information Technology, or related field of study or equivalent education/experience



PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

  • 2 years experience in adult education and learning theory.
  • 2 years experience developing course curriculum and conducting training.
  • 2 years experience managing projects using project plans to manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement.



SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Demonstrated understanding of adult learning concepts.
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies, with the ability to create, maintain, and manage project plans, timelines, and
  • deliverables.
  • Strong oral presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to clearly organize and communicate ideas and technical details in professional English that is easily understood by diverse audiences.
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to inform, influence, and instruct learners.
  • Ability to encourage individuals in one‑to‑one or small‑group settings to establish rapport, build trust, listen effectively, and convey understanding.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
  • Ability to foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports learners in understanding complex concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess information, identify patterns and relationships, and formulate logical, objective conclusions.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on relative importance and manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service as a guiding principle for professional actions and decisions.
  • Solid application of adult learning principles and interpersonal skills to effectively manage classes and guide end users toward a strong understanding of subject matter.
  • Proficiency in virtual collaboration and remote learning platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or comparable tools for delivering, facilitating, and supporting live and virtual training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Range is $41.45 to $62.18 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
