Key Responsibilities:
KBR is seeking a training and deployment manager to support a Space Force Component Field Command and is critical to ensuring the effective deployment execution and training compliance of assigned personnel. The selected individual will serve in a combined Unit Deployment Manager (UDM) and Unit Training Manager (UTM) role, providing hands-on coordination and execution in support of commander-directed objectives.
This role supports a mid-sized headquarters staff and emphasizes operational execution, coordination, and compliance rather than strategic-level policy development. The individual must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
II. Key Responsibilities
The UDM/UTM serves as a primary coordinator for deployment execution and training administration in direct support of unit leadership.
Serve as the primary coordinator for unit deployment planning and execution, ensuring assigned personnel and equipment are prepared to deploy in accordance with commander’s intent and higher headquarters taskings.
Maintain and update unit deployment preparation messages, rosters, and accountability products, ensuring all deployment requirements for personnel and cargo are accurately reflected and communicated.
Track and manage individual deployment requirements, including medical, dental, administrative, training, and security prerequisites for deploying personnel.
Coordinate deployment actions for assigned personnel and equipment in support of contingency, rotational, and exercise deployments.
Ensure deploying personnel receive accurate reporting instructions, travel arrangements, and required deployment briefings.
Coordinate with installation agencies, component staffs, and external organizations (e.g., personnel, logistics, medical, transportation, and security offices) to resolve deployment-related issues.
Monitor deployment timelines, suspense dates, and taskings to ensure compliance with operational requirements.
Maintain accountability of deploying personnel and equipment throughout the deployment lifecycle, including pre-deployment, deployment, and redeployment.
Identify deployment-related risks, shortfalls, or constraints and provide timely recommendations to leadership to mitigate impacts to mission execution
Serve as the primary coordinator for unit training administration and compliance in support of commander-directed training objectives and higher headquarters requirements.
Administer and maintain the Commander’s Training Program and associated guidance, ensuring alignment with higher headquarters directives and the unit Mission Essential Task List (METL).
Manage the unit training plan by scheduling required individual and collective training events.
Track, monitor, and report completion of mandatory training requirements, including Total Force Awareness Training (TFAT), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Information Protection.
Coordinate training requirements with internal staff and external organizations to ensure timely execution.
Plan and execute headquarters staff orientation training for newly assigned personnel.
Develop and maintain onboarding materials, checklists, and reference guides to support consistent integration of new personnel.
Coordinate onboarding actions with supervisors and staff sections to ensure required in-processing and training actions are completed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for assigned personnel using designated learning management systems (e.g., Digital Training Management System – DTMS).
Ensure training completions, qualifications, and certifications are properly documented and available for inspection or audit.
Support training-related inspections, staff assistance visits, and readiness reviews by providing accurate training documentation and status updates.

Qualifications:
Required:
Experience supporting unit deployment execution and/or unit training management functions within a military or joint environment.
Strong understanding of military deployment processes and training compliance requirements.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple functional areas and organizations.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of briefings, presentations, and staff products for leadership.
Ability to function independently and as part of a high-performing team.
Active Top Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Desired:
Experience supporting joint, component, or combatant command-level staffs.
Familiarity with Defense Reporting Readiness System (DRRS)
Familiarity with Space Force organizational structure, missions, or operational constructs.
Experience working in a geographic combatant command environment (e.g., CENTCOM).
Prior experience administering onboarding or orientation programs.
Master’s Degree in a relevant field of study.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
