Trainer - Operations, Distribution Center
Location: Olive Branch, MS, USA - 8745 Forest Hill Irene Road, Suite 105
Shift - Monday to Friday, 1pm-9:30pm
Note - Shift subject to change based on the needs of the business. OT mandatory if required. Flexibility required on start times as it would depend on new hire orientations and needs of the business.

Position Summary:
The Operations Trainer for Material Handlers is responsible for training and guiding team members in all aspects of material handling operations, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency. This role focuses on teaching proper procedures for double-checking, packing, manifesting shipments, and operating forklifts in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Development:
Conduct hands-on training sessions for new and existing employees on material handling processes.
Ensure team members understand and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for packing, manifesting, and inventory control.
Quality Assurance:
Teach proper double-checking techniques to minimize errors in order fulfillment and shipping.
Monitor trainees’ performance and provide feedback to maintain high accuracy levels.
Equipment Operations:
Train employees on safe and efficient power equipment operation, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials.
Verify compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Documentation & Compliance:
Instruct on accurate completion of shipping manifests and related documentation.
Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory requirements during material handling activities.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and reduce risk.
Minimum Qualifications:
Typically requires 5+ years of related experience
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
5 years of relevant experience in warehouse or distribution operations is preferred. Internals must have 6 months of McKesson experience to qualify
Experience operating Power Industrial Equipment (Reach Truck, Genie, Pallet Jack) with valid certifications is highly preferred. Must be willing to train and maintain certifications as this position would be training others on power equipment
Strong knowledge/exposure to material handling practices (pick, pack, ship, inventory, receiving, etc.) as this position may train others on SOP and processes
May conduct new hire orientations
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Exposure to Accumax preferred
Prior leadership and training experience preferred
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Strong interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Detail-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Willingness and ability to work in all warehouse areas
Exposure to OSHA with the ability to enforce safety standards and maintain compliance
Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including editing and proofreading
Bilingual (Spanish preferred)
Willingness to support additional projects (e.g., slotting, inventory counts, DSCSA)
Physical Demands (may be required for position):
Ability to walk up to 10 miles per shift
Lift 20–40 lbs repetitively; team lift for heavier items
Frequent standing, bending, stooping, and walking
May work in refrigerated/cold environments
May work at heights
Visual acuity for reading fine print and color differentiation
May work in an office setting at times
