What we offer you    

You have finished your studies or are about to do so and would like to contribute your acquired knowledge and creative ideas to us without committing yourself to a specific job?    

Over a period of 18 months, you will gain insights into the global finance, controlling, accounting and tax functions of Evonik Industries AG and get to know the work processes in an international group by working at different locations. You will be mentored by experienced colleagues in your area of responsibility. You will also develop your technical and methodological skills on the job and off the job in workshops, seminars and your own projects.     

You will have the opportunity to get involved in a project on social and/or sustainable topics. These activities will take place together with other Evonik trainees. You will have the opportunity to expand your network from day one and lay the foundation for your career start in Controlling, Finance, Accounting or Taxes! A stay abroad is an integral part of the program.

You can expect to receive feedback on your application by mid of May 2026 If your application convinces us, you will receive an online test in the first step. The final selection of applicants will take place in June 2026 as part of a digital assessment center.

Responsibilities

  • Get to know the different procurement functions and tasks at Evonik Industries: Gain insights into the operational procurement business and strategic purchasing. In addition, you will have the opportunity to get to know another area of your choice outside of Procurement (such as Marketing, Sustainability or Supply Chain Management)

  • Take the opportunity to expand your professional know-how and apply it in the procurement organization of an international company 

  • Get to know the relevant procurement tools and processes on the job and take on initial responsibility for smaller projects 

  • Expand your technical and methodological expertise together with trainees from other trainee programs and build a network within and outside Procurement

Requirements

  • Above-average degree in business administration or science/technology, ideally with a focus on procurement, supply chain management or logistics  

  • Initial practical experience in procurement (e.g. through internships) desirable

  • Knowledge of digitization / automation / big data analytics desirable

  • Initial intercultural experience through a stay abroad such as a semester or internship abroad

  • Business fluent in German and English as well as Germany-wide and international mobility 

  • Very good communication skills and enjoy working in an international team

  • Outstanding analytical skills, independence and a sense of responsibility 

  • Entrepreneurial thinking and creativity
