Job Description:

Trainee Materials Engineer (UAE National)

Dubai, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Trainee Materials Engineer to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Assist in inspecting construction materials on site such as concrete, soil, aggregates, asphalt, and steel to ensure they meet project requirements and quality standards.

  • Support material sampling and testing activities in coordination with site engineers and laboratory teams.

  • Help monitor field tests including concrete slump tests, cube casting, soil compaction, and other routine quality checks.

  • Maintain records of material inspections, test results, and daily site activities.

  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and site teams for material deliveries and approvals.

  • Assist in reviewing material submittals, test certificates, and technical documents under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Report material-related issues or non-conformance to senior engineers and support corrective actions.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of construction materials on site.

  • Follow company safety procedures and support compliance with project quality and safety standards.

  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and day-to-day construction quality activities to gain practical field experience.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology, Materials Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in construction materials, site engineering, and field-based project work.

  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Clear communication and coordination skills.

  • Basic understanding of engineering standards, quality procedures, and workplace safety practices.

  • Eagerness to learn and develop hands-on experience in construction and engineering projects.
