We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Educator to join our team at Busy Bees at Salt Ash, located at 2634 Nelson Bay Road, Salt Ash NSW 2318, on a full-time or part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.

What you’ll do

  • Support educators in delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

  • Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children

  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members

  • Support daily routines, transitions, and supervision of children

  • Contribute to maintaining high standards aligned with the National Quality Standards (NQS)

What you’ll bring

  • A genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing, and alignment with Busy Bees values

  • Willingness to enrol in or currently enrolled in a Certificate III or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care

  • Ability to obtain a valid Working with Children Check (Employee) for NSW

  • Basic communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow

  • A positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic

  • Previous experience with children (e.g., babysitting, volunteering) is advantageous but not essential
