Available from June 1st 2026 for a period of 6 months minimum (max 16 months)
We are currently looking for a Trainee to support the following departments:
Corporate Sector Coverage
Technology, Media, Telecom & Healthcare (TMT & Healthcare)
Financial Institutions
As a trainee, you will support Relationship Managers and team members in their daily activities. Starting with administrative and analytical tasks, your responsibilities will gradually expand as you develop your skills and knowledge.
Your key responsibilities
Support Relationship Managers in activities related to large corporate and institutional clients
Collect, analyse, and structure client, sector, and market information
Prepare presentations and industry overviews providing valuable business insights
Support the identification of potential new clients and the development of client approaches
Assist in day‑to‑day business activities, including financing requests and client transactions
Contribute to risk assessments and the Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) process
Coordinate with product specialists and colleagues across the international ING network
This role offers exposure to a wide range of banking products, from financing solutions to risk management and cash management.
Your profile
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
Priority will be given to students from the University of St. Gallen and the University of Zurich, or students in a gap year between Bachelor’s and Master’s studies
First experience in banking or finance is an advantage, ideally with large or international clients
Strong interest in corporate banking and financial analysis
Comfortable working with figures and data; analytical and results‑oriented mindset
Well organised, with good time‑management and prioritisation skills
Detail‑oriented and eager to learn
Strong team player with initiative and a high level of commitment
Fluent in English; German is an advantage
Proficient in MS Office
