Position Details - Trades AssistantAs a Trades Assistant supporting our Hemmant and Cannon Hill sites, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping our facilities running safely and efficiently, while building real trade skills in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
Why this role matters
You’ll work closely with our trades team and contractors to keep plant, equipment and site assets in top working order.
From assisting with repairs and preventative maintenance to supporting breakdown response and maintaining workshop standards, your contribution will directly impact safety, productivity and site performance.
This is the perfect role for someone who is practical, mechanically minded and motivated to learn.
Assisting trades staff and contractors with repairs, servicing and maintenance tasks across both sites
Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing work in a timely, safe and compliant manner
Supporting preventative maintenance programs to minimise unplanned downtime
Completing basic servicing and repairs on non–high-risk equipment
Reporting equipment issues promptly and accurately
Maintaining a clean, safe, well-organised workshop
Contributing to continuous improvement and living the Lineage Values every day
Essential
Experience in a similar role
Experience in mechanical, electrical, welding and/or power tool operation
Current driver’s licence
High-Risk Forklift Licence
High-Risk EWP Boom Licence
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred
Trade qualification and/or warehouse operations experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Solid problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
Good organisational and time-management skills
Positive “can-do” mindset and commitment to safe work practices
