Trade Processing Analyst – 12 month FTC (Fixed Term Contract)

Team / Role Overview

This is a role within the Greece Trade team based in Athens Office.  The Trade Team is responsible for supporting the pre and post processing activities for Issuance of Bank Guarantees and supporting miscellaneous activities for supporting the local trade portfolio. The team is looking for a dynamic individual who would provide the team to support the business and product relating to the processing of Trade Operations functions.

The role will require the successful candidate to form effective working relationships with Client Operations key clients and stakeholders – Product, Technology, Coverage etc. The successful candidate will be required to have detailed understanding of end-to-end operations for Trade products.

What you'll do

• Handling client request for guarantee issuances and other related enquiries
• Ensure timely and accurate BAU execution related to pre and post processing activities i.e. receipt, scan and dispatch of trade documents
• Ensure that service is being delivered as agreed, to the required level of performance and quality. 
• Raise issues to operations management and back-office processing unit at earliest opportunity to minimise any potential risk.
• Effective communication with internal stakeholders i.e. Trade Product, banking, Credit operations, Legal, Back-office etc. for resolving any client related issue pertaining to Bank Guarantees
• Monitoring of Trade internal and NOSTRO account used during the processing of Trade related transactions via bank’s Reconciliation Application/Portal including investigation and resolution of incorrect/unresolved transactions.
• Work with the team to understand pain points and areas for improvement.

What we’ll need from you

• 4/5 years experience in relevant field
• Banking operations  experience within Trade services area
• Ability to drive & comply with all required controls, governance & policies.
• Proven ability to execute
• Must be able to use experience to identify possible issues before they arise and to be pro-active in resolving such issues.
• Must have the ability to multi-task by taking on extra ad-hoc tasks without letting the day-to-day tasks suffer.
• Knowledge of accounting entries and financial concepts
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Ability to work in a pressured environment and in meeting deadlines
• Excellent organisation and administrative skills
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Flexibility
• Clear communicator ability to relay precise information both orally and in writing
• Good time management skills
• Ability to articulate ideas in a simple coherent way
• Ownership and results orientation
