Trade & Platform Onboarding Engineer

The Role
We are seeking an experienced platform onboarding engineer to join our Trade & Platform Onboarding team in New York. The candidate will be a part of a global team that is primarily responsible for the configuration and deployment of new portfolio manager and broker FIX session on our proprietary quantitative trading platform. The team also provides follow the sun support and monitoring (alongside counterparts based in London and Singapore) of the UAT trading environment as well as closely working with the development teams to ensure reliability, maintainability and performance of the production environment.

What you’ll do
Trade & Platform Onboarding Engineers coordinate with internal and external business and technology teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for all Portfolio managers. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing, validating, configuring and certifying FIX connections, configuring UAT environments, supporting order routing and trade reporting. You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities to improve current processes and delivering better service to the business. The Engineer will collaborate with software development teams to ensure successful deployment of new code into production. The ideal candidate will also automate processes and workflows as well as building tools for our environment.

What you’ll bring
What you need:

  • Demonstratable hands-on experience supporting electronic trading technologies/FIX certifications
  • Experience supporting applications in a Linux environment
  • Demonstrable skills with Bash scripting & SQL querying
  • Experience using REST APIs
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in managing large scale deployments/environments
  • Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

We’d love if you had:

  • Experience developing tools and/or automating processes
  • Experience with developing scripts in Python or Lua
  • Experience with production support or project management
  • Experience with application monitoring systems such as ITRS Geneos
  • Experience with job scheduling tools/software (Ctrl-M, Autosys, etc)

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $90,000 and $150,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
