1. Role Overview
The Trade Marketing Officer – Government Channel will be responsible for driving channel development, acquisition, and relationship management across multiple states/cities. The role involves managing Redistribution Stockists (RS), government key accounts, field teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure sustainable growth, channel hygiene, and effective execution of product and develop railways, Airways, Corporates, PSU’s , Colleges , local regional opportunities including NGO’s . The candidate must possess strong communication, analytical, and entrepreneurial skills with a willingness to travel extensively.

2. Key Responsibilities
A. Channel & Business Development
• Lead infrastructure development activities, including appointing and onboarding new Redistribution Stockists (RS) for seamless operations.
• Drive acquisition of new clients in coordination with BDAs through structured market working.
• Take ownership of channel growth and long-term sustainability across allocated geographies.
• Activate and develop the government business channel through structured planning, execution, and monitoring.

B. RS & Account Management
• Manage primary sales, stock hygiene, and data accuracy at the RS level.
• Strengthen RS involvement in channel development through capability building and continuous engagement.
• Manage key government accounts regionally, ensuring consistent service levels and business growth.
• Conduct regular meetings, performance reviews, and compliance checks with RS partners.

C. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
• Engage with government officials for strategic meetings to strengthen business relationships.
• Coordinate closely with extended teams, including TMI’s and regional sales teams.
• Ensure seamless backend coordination with cross-functional partners such as Categories, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.
• Manage third-party (3P) partners and vendors for activations, analytics, and operational support.

D. Market & Activations
• Execute product demonstrations including presentations to promote category penetration.
• Lead channel activation plans and ensure timely execution of market development activities.
• Support and coordinate product launches in the Government Channel.

E. Data Management, MIS & Analytics
• Maintain hygiene, accuracy, and timeliness of data across RS and internal systems.
• Analyze sales and operational data to derive insights for business improvement.
• Prepare MIS reports as required by regional and central teams.
• Provide channel-wise analytics to improve decision-making and performance tracking.
