Job Summary

Trade Marketing Assistant Manager is responsible for driving category growth by developing and executing category strategies, overseeing innovation launches, and managing cross-functional collaboration. This role works closely with Marketing, Customer Development, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure effective planning, execution, and performance management across channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy & Planning

  • Develop, deploy, and deliver the Sales & Operating Plan (S&OP) to drive category growth.
  • Lead the execution of the approved category and trade plans, focusing on price, pack, and place.
  • Co-develop medium- to long-term category and channel growth strategies using market data to shape +1 Year Go‑to‑Market (GTM) plans.
  • Work jointly with Brand Managers to assess category opportunities and analyze competitor and channel performance.

Business Performance Management

  • Drive overall business performance, including identifying gaps and implementing closure activities.
  • Provide promotion guidelines and rules based on post-evaluation learnings to meet category objectives.
  • Review and evaluate CSP/Channel activities to enhance future plans.

Innovation & Launch Management

  • Co-develop innovation launch plans with the Marketing team, including campaign development, activation strategy, pack, price, and promotional recommendations.
  • Ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) new product launches, covering all touchpoints such as POSM readiness, pipeline volume planning, and promotional calendar alignment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute category strategies across all channels.
  • Ensure adherence to brand standards, including consistent usage of key visuals and customer activation themes aligned with brand activation plans.
  • Foster strong collaboration with Customer Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years relevant working experience in trade or channel marketing.
  • Strong creative and strategic thinking skills with a demonstrated focus on execution and results.
  • Excellent data analytics, project management, budgeting, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of market trends in experiential marketing and consumer engagement.
  • Creative, entrepreneurial, and adaptable to fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
