The position will be based at Neu-Isenburg, Germany and you will report to the Manager for Global Trade Management and Compliance. Same position is offered in Venlo, Netherlands.
Position: Junior Trade Compliance Specialist
This entry level position ensures compliance with applicable EU and U.S. export and import control laws, including the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) regional and local regulations concerning the movement of goods and services across borders.
The position acts as a liaison among several internal groups across Arrow businesses, and may interface with government licensing offices, such as Dutch CDIU, German BAFA, US BIS and others to ensure proper adherence to trade management and trade control laws and regulations.
Our ideal candidate is well-organized, highly-analytical with strong attention to detail, multilingual, able to multi-task while keeping in line with trade import/export regulations and deadlines. You will support the EMEA Compliance Risk Management Team in the field of License Management and specific Customer Controls for Arrow Global Businesses. internal candidates are welcome!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Process global supply chain partner reviews, including reviews of current government restricted / denied parties list matches
Collect, review and approve Customer End Use and Export Compliance Certifications
Conduct and document further due diligence for partners and/or transactions to resolve potential red flags.
Day-to day monitoring and clearance of transactions while remaining compliant with applicable laws and regulations
Analyse different high volume transactional reports
Prepare and submit low- and high-complexity government license applications and reports
Who Are We Looking For:
Strong capability in understanding of written and spoken processes, instructions, reports, and regulations.
Minimum 4-year degree or equivalent related experience
1-year of experience in a big organisation
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Fluent English skills (with German or Dutch as a plus) OR fluent third language (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Hungarian, Dutch, German) and Intermediate English
Very good knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), Oracle experience is a plus
You are self-reliant, and a self-starter with the ability to deal with challenging situations
Customs process knowledge and trade compliance process understanding are of advantage
Logistics or transportation or classification / tariff engineering background is of advantage
