Trade Account Manager (m/f/d)

- Trade Account Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring commercial excellence within the Mid-Size Markets (MSM). They are responsible for managing key accounts, highlighting specific account tenders, supporting demand and forecasting, and maintaining connections with top Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- This role is essential for driving the transformation and ensuring the business continuity and success of the Value Maximization Group (VMG) within the MSMs.
- Trade Account Manager develop and implement strategic account plans to meet sales targets and drive revenue growth.
- Trade Account Managers focus is on commercial activities, maintaining relationships with hospitals, hospital pharmacies and clinics, while promotion is out of their scope. The team will be covering the entire VMG portfolio of the country.
- Trade Account Managers are responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans that drive sustainable growth and deepen partnerships with key stakeholders in Austria.
- This role goes beyond traditional sales by fostering trust-based relationships and aligning Pfizer’s value proposition with the evolving needs of healthcare systems, providers, and payers.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade Account Managers play a crucial role in maintaining commercial excellence within MSMs. Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within the Key country accounts.
- Develop tailored action plans for each account, aligning with company objectives and market potential
- Trade Account Managers manage key accounts, highlight specific account tenders, and pricing requests, support demand and forecasting, and maintain connections with top Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
- Develop integrated account plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams, tailored to the dynamics of mid-size markets and aligned with Pfizer’s portfolio strategy.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders across healthcare institutions, distributors.
- Position Pfizer as a strategic partner by articulating the value of its products and services in terms of patient outcomes, system efficiencies, and economic impact.
- Serve as the central point of contact for internal teams (medical, access, marketing, compliance, IT, customer service) to ensure seamless execution of account strategies and achieving the project goals. Close cooperation and alignment with local Tender Specialist.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and policy changes to proactively adapt account strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Track key account metrics, report progress, and adjust plans to meet commercial objectives and customer expectations.
- Drive the transformation into the new model by working closely with the MSM Transformation Team.
You offer:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred. Pharmareferentenprüfung needed.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical key account management (preferably in mid-size or emerging markets) or a related role.
- Experience working with biopharma portfolios including specialty care, vaccines, or hospital products.
- Familiarity with tendering processes, distributor management, and public-private partnerships in mid-size markets.
- Exposure to KAM transformation initiatives and organizational change management.
- Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and market dynamics.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven Ability to manage complex accounts and navigate matrix organizations (work collaboratively with cross-functional teams).
- Proficiency in CRM software and data analysis tools.
- Fluency in German and English

The salary depends on your educational background and expertise as well as your previous experiences but will at least amount to € 71.000 gross p.a. on a fulltime base.
