Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift 

Compensation: $32.80-$32.80/hr.

Tessera is seeking an experienced and reliable Tractor Trailer Driver with a professional attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Operate tractors, semi-trailers, full trailers, trucks with dolly converters, and full trailers more than 24,000 lbs. GWVR.

  • All services for heavy trucking involving equipment/material movement off-station shall be done in accordance with NRLINST 4600.1H.  

  • Transport heavy construction equipment as well as overweight and oversized loads.

  • Provides medium trucking service for vehicles less than 24,000 lbs.

  • Performs cargo delivery as assigned.

  • Performs preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and ensures equipment is fully operational.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Vehicle Operation field; Equivalent combination of experience and education is permitted.

  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills. 

  • Excellent customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis. 

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL-A with passenger endorsement is required.  Must be able to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance company.  Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is required.

  • Candidate must meet federal guidelines to be considered for this position - Department of Transportation (DOT) pre-employment drug screening, medical examination certification, and cleared query with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position. 

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s Identification Card.
