Role Overview

The Total Rewards Manager is a strategic leader on our People team, responsible for the design, development, and management of our global compensation and benefits programs. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our total rewards strategy aligns with our business objectives, drives a high-performance culture, and positions impact.com as a premier employer. You will lead the charge in creating programs that are competitive, equitable, scalable, and valued by our employees. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who can blend deep analytical expertise with a strategic vision, capable of mentoring a team and partnering with senior leadership to shape the future of rewards at impact.com.

What You'll Do

Compensation Strategy & Operations:

    • Lead the strategic design and ongoing administration of our global compensation framework, including salary structures and bonus plans, ensuring they are competitive and drive desired business outcomes.
    • Own and manage the end-to-end global compensation planning cycles, including developing project plans, creating budgets, providing robust analytics and recommendations to leadership, and ensuring flawless execution.
    • Evolve and maintain our global job architecture and evaluation methodology to ensure internal equity, support career progression, and align with our organizational structure.
    • Partner with People Leadership and Finance to model the financial impact of compensation programs and provide strategic insights for budget planning and long-range forecasting.
    • Serve as the company’s subject matter expert on all compensation matters, providing consultative guidance to HR business partners and business leaders on complex offer scenarios, promotions, and organizational design.
    • Oversee the company's participation in compensation surveys and analyze market data to ensure our programs remain competitive and responsive to market trends.

Benefits Strategy & Management:

    • Direct the strategy, design, and administration of all U.S. and global employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement (401k), and wellness initiatives, to ensure they meet the needs of our diverse workforce.
    • Manage relationships with benefits brokers, vendors, and administrators, driving for the highest level of service, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal plan performance.
    • Lead the annual benefits renewal and open enrollment process, from strategic plan design and cost analysis to developing employee-centric communication campaigns.
    • Provide expert oversight of leave-of-absence, disability, and workers' compensation programs, ensuring compliance and a supportive experience for our employees.
    • Ensure all reward programs are compliant with global regulations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, pay equity laws), leading efforts in non-discrimination testing, audits, and required filings.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor and escalation point for complex employee benefits issues, ensuring timely and empathetic resolution.

Leadership & Mentorship:

    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development to the Total Rewards team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and high performance.
    • Create and present materials on compensation and benefits strategy for the executive team and Board of Directors as needed.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, with a demonstrated focus on both compensation and benefits.
  • Proven experience leading annual compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity) and benefits renewal/open enrollment processes.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in formally or informally mentoring junior team members and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Expert-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Deep knowledge of compensation principles, market-pricing methodologies, benefits design, and relevant regulations.
  • Exceptional business acumen and the ability to build strong partnerships with People colleagues, Finance, and business leaders.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a clear and compelling vision for total rewards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct people management experience is highly preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and/or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation.
  • Experience in a fast-growing, global technology or SaaS company.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with a modern People Technology platform (Workday is strongly preferred) for compensation and benefits administration.
  • Experience with both public and private company equity programs.
  • Proven track record of managing vendor relationships, including contract negotiation and performance management.

Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 per year, plus an additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.
