Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Turner to join our maintenance team in Mexico. This position will be responsible for manufacturing and repairing spare parts for the different production areas, ensuring the availability and functionality of the equipment at all times. The ideal candidate will have lathe handling experience, technical knowledge in cutting tools and machining processes, as well as a commitment to quality and safety.

Required knowledge

  • Technical training on industrial machines and tools.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in handling lathe, milling, grinding, bench drill, circular shear, etc.
  • Knowledge of shop machines, types of cutting tools, speed and depth of cut.
  • Knowledge of metrology and intermediate sizing (indoor and outdoor micrometers, comparators, vernier, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 standards.
  • Desirable: experience in repair and manufacture of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic parts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and repair parts of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and hydraulic machinery, ensuring their correct operation.
  • Request necessary materials and operate specialized machinery to meet production requirements.
  • Verify fits and tolerances of manufactured parts, both internal and external, to ensure quality.
  • Maintain order and control of the material in the work area, avoiding waste and ensuring availability.
  • Maintain 6 ́s and cleanliness of the workshop for a correct disposal of surpluses to prevent accidents.
  • Actively participate in safety programs such as DDS, Face to Face, BBS, drills, and brigades.
  • Comply with required training and certifications (DC-3) for the management of energy, chemical substances and special jobs.
  • Stop any activity that poses a risk to safety, health, the environment, or quality.

Who are we looking for?

  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in lathe handling and machining processes.
