Tooling Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tooling Supervisor to oversee our tooling operations, ensuring efficient production and the highest quality standards. This role is critical in optimizing our manufacturing processes and maintaining the integrity of our production equipment.

Job Responsibilities

* Supervise and coordinate all activities related to tooling, including design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair.
* Implement and monitor robust Cost Controls for tooling expenditures, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency.
* Develop and execute comprehensive Equipment Maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of tooling assets.
* Manage Tool Qualification processes, ensuring all new and refurbished tools meet stringent quality and performance specifications.
* Oversee Inventory Management of tooling components and spare parts, optimizing stock levels and preventing shortages.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance Manufacturing Processes through improved tooling solutions.
* Ensure efficient and safe Materials Handling practices for tooling and related components.
* Implement and enforce rigorous Quality Control (QC) standards for all tooling, identifying and resolving any deviations.
* Work closely with Supply Chain and contribute to Supply Chain Management (SCM) initiatives related to tooling procurement and vendor relations.
* Provide leadership and technical guidance to tooling technicians and other team members.

Job Qualifications

* Proven experience in a tooling supervision role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding and practical application of Cost Controls in a production setting.
* Demonstrated expertise in Equipment Maintenance and preventative maintenance programs.
* Proficiency in Inventory Management principles and systems.
* In-depth knowledge of various Manufacturing Processes and their associated tooling requirements.
* Experience with safe and efficient Materials Handling practices.
* Solid background in Quality Control (QC) methodologies and implementation.
* Familiarity with Supply Chain and Supply Chain Management (SCM) best practices.
* Hands-on experience with Tooling Design principles and software is a significant advantage.
* Proven ability in Tool Qualification and validation.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
