Pratt & Whitney Canada UK forms part of the Regional Customer Service Centre Network and has a repair centre based in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To manage the stock of site tooling in support of the technical team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Tool kit creations – ensuring all tooling is present and allocated

TOOLING COORDINATOR

Tooling


New Tool Induction

Tool Loans (Process improvement and Execution)
Pilot Freight Project – Tool Movements and eWMS.
Drive Tool Kit Creation Projects (Work with Tech Team)
Second PW617 Kit
Additional PW500 Tool Kit
PT6E Tool Kits
Plus any other the Team would like kitted


Stores Back-up (receipt, induction and allocation of parts)
Other Admin Tasks as required from a business perspective to support the Technical team – tool loans (picking the tooling for the customer, updating the tooling database).
Ensure regular calibration of tooling is carried out in line with requirements. Following the correct procedure. 
Support with calibration service providers and follow-up in the event of out of tolerance  notification
Support customer tool loan requests & NDT requirements
Prepare the tool loan and make arrangements for shipping
Act as main point of contact with tooling vendors. Work with the technical team to identify requirements and get quotes for new tooling or tooling repairs.
Maintain the tooling database and help resolve any issues with the system
Working of improvements projects related to tooling and tooling management systems
Any other ad hoc jobs or projects or jobs to support the Technical Team

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.]

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree(or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
