Join the Finning family! Finning Canada is seeking a Tool Technician to support our Edmonton Wirtanen Electric Division location on a Monday to Friday shift. This position is responsible for repairs and maintenance on tools and equipment.

• Wage: $23.84

Job Description:

  • Performs cleaning, inspection, repair & maintenance on tools & equipment, ranging from Electrical Contractor tooling (benders, crimpers, Tuggers, pulling gear etc.) other electric, pneumatic & hydraulic power tools & equipment as required
  • Provides repair timelines and estimates for both Rental and Customer tool repairs, working closely with the service writer to ensure detailed repair reports/quotes are completed
  • Working with the Service Writer ensures all parts and materials needed to maintain and repair our tooling rental fleet are order and maintained at required levels
  • Responsible for ensuring all Electrical Contractor tooling and parts inventory levels are maintained through weekly counts and yearly auditing
  • Works closely with the CSR team to ensure equipment inventory levels are maintained and accurate pertaining to what is rental ready, return inspection or requires repair
  • Inspects equipment pre and post rental to ensure all equipment is in proper working condition utilizing our tagging system, presenting green/red tags to the CSR’s for fleet/rental updates
  • Moves rental-ready equipment back to proper storage areas following routine maintenance procedures
  • Assisting with Loading & Unloading Equipment, ensuring all shipping / receiving documentation procedures are followed
  • Work as part of the team to meet the branch commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Perform other related duties as requested

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 graduate  
  • Must possess the technical knowledge & mechanical aptitude to perform service & maintenance tasks on our product line ranging from electrical contactor tooling & equipment, general construction & maintenance equipment.
  • Knowledge of computers and tooling
  • The ability to maintain positive relationships with coworkers, suppliers and customers
  • The successful candidates must be organized with a high attention to detail

  • This position is based out of Edmonton, on a Monday - Friday shift

Union Membership: This is a unionized position.  Union dues will be deducted from your pay upon hire.  Terms of employment are governed by a collective agreement.
