We’re looking for an experienced Tool Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering team in Huntingdon. This is a hands‑on role focused on ensuring extrusion tooling is maintained to the highest standard to support safe, efficient and repeatable production.
Maintain, repair and modify extrusion tooling, dies, jigs and fixtures
Ensure tooling is optimised, available and production‑ready
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and engineering improvements
Support new tooling from commissioning through to production start‑up
Record tooling settings, history and data within the Tool Room database
Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams
Support continuous improvement, 5S activity and safe working practices
Essential Experience & Knowledge
Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent) with 3+ years’ experience
Previous experience in a Toolmaking or machining environment
Ability to read and understand 2D and 3D tooling drawings
Hands‑on experience with lathes, milling, drilling, grinding and similar equipment
Experience within extrusion manufacturing (desirable)
Strong attention to detail, safety awareness and communication skills
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
