Director, Production (Timberland)
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Director, Production at Timberland looks a little like this.
The Director of Production is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of marketing campaigns, creative assets, and brand initiatives across all channels. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role oversees the process of brief, creative development, production operations, project management function, and cross-functional workflow to ensure marketing initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest creative and strategic standards.
This leader will serve as the operational backbone of the marketing team — driving efficiency, clarity, and collaboration between creative, strategy, media, and external partners – whilst delivering best in class quality of service.
This position is crucial in driving innovation and creative excellence within the Timberland brand.

· Oversee all marketing production and project management, including project assignments, detailed timelines, creative approvals, approaches, and budgets for multiple productions simultaneously
Oversee resource allocation, capacity planning, and prioritization across marketing projects.
· Ensure that all stakeholders are hitting their milestones to deliver outcomes on time
· Manage all production phases from concept to delivery (pre-production, shoot, and post)
· Define production scope based on creative concept and recommend production partners and talent
· Hire talent and production vendors (individually and at the production company level)
· Define production schedules, set milestones, and track deliverables
· Generate and negotiate internal agency fee production estimates
· Generate and negotiate third party production estimates
· Assist with vendor/talent payments, organization of department assets, and creation of purchase orders
· Work with creative teams to help solve complex production problems
· Champion the work at hand while building your relationships with those involved internally and externally
· Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Lead and mentor the production and project management teams, fostering a high-performance, solution-oriented culture.
Partner with marketing leadership to define operational strategy, processes, and best practices that enable scalable, efficient campaign delivery.
Establish and maintain high standards of quality and brand integrity across all deliverables.
Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and scope changes across projects.
Develop and optimize processes for creative briefing, approvals, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Track and report on project performance, team capacity, and ROI of production investments.
Partner with Finance and Procurement to manage production budgets and vendor agreements.
Drive continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies, workflows, and best practices.
What do you need to succeed?

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Experience working on integrated campaigns across digital, social, print and video
Ability to present and/or review all production budgets and timelines and address production related questions for internal and external clients
Provide input for vendor selection process
Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities; a keen eye for creative work
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Flexibility, initiative, dedication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Can-do attitude - no one is too big for the smallest of task; working as a team and supporting one another is paramount for success
Proven experience managing integrated campaigns across digital, social, video, print, and experiential channels.
Strong understanding of creative and production processes, including agency workflows and vendor management.
Exceptional organizational and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Expertise in project management software and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Hiring Range:
$183,040.00 USD - $228,800.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
