Demand Planner (Timberland Americas)

What will you do?

A day in the life of an MFP Planner at Timberland looks a little like this:

As an MFP Planner at Timberland, you’ll be at the heart of translating our brand’s long-term vision into actionable seasonal strategies. You’ll own the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) process across both Timberland Tree and PRO product lines, ensuring alignment with financial goals, inventory targets, and channel strategies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a cross-functional environment and enjoys turning data into decisions.  This role reports into the Manager of Demand Planning.

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

  • Lead the end-to-end MFP process, including data integration, interpretation, and communication across teams.

  • Partner closely with Demand Planning to identify and act on opportunities that drive seasonal financial targets by GBA.

  • Serve as the key liaison between Demand Planning and Global Merchandise Planning.

  • Represent MFP insights in monthly cross-functional forecast meetings with Sales Planning, Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing.

  • Become the subject matter expert on MFP tools, processes, and performance metrics.

  • Provide analytical support to drive business improvements, focusing on GBA and SKO productivity.

  • Develop and enhance tools to automate data gathering and streamline reporting.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundational skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 2-3 years of experience and professional achievements in demand planning, finance, supply, sourcing, or other related supply chain functions.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university with a concentration in Supply Chain, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Strong analytical skills with a passion for turning data into strategic insights.

  • Experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, or financial reporting.

  • Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate effectively with diverse teams.

  • Proficiency in Excel and planning systems; experience with automation tools is a plus.

  • A proactive mindset and a drive to continuously improve processes and tools.

There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.

  • Familiarity with systems such as Logility, Business Objectives, and SAP.

  • Knowledge of Power BI.

Hiring Range:

$68,000.00 USD - $85,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
