What you’ll do in this role:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as part of Integer’s centralized cost accounting function providing technical accounting expertise, guidance and leadership within the team. Cost Accounting Supervisors have direct responsibility for global remote manufacturing sites; in addition to managing global accounting processes. Group deliverables include analytical review of standards, SOX environment compliance, inventory and reserve analysis, production variances, account maintenance and reconciliation.
Be a Strategic Leader
As a Supervisor, Cost Accounting, you will be responsible for creating a culture of cost accounting excellence, working in partnership with your colleagues and the plant leadership team (PLT), driven by associate engagement. You will make an impact by:
- Adhering to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
- Performing all cost accounting functions for the cost accounting group with a global emphasis with guidance from the Manager, Cost Accounting.
- Supervising Cost Accountant direct reports, providing coaching and performance support.
- Responsible for maintenance and accuracy of inventory standards, actual quantities, inventory account balances, and reserve reviews.
- Ensuring proper GAAP accounting for Purchase Price Variance.
- Coordinating and ensuring that all significant production variances are properly analyzed and accounted for.
- Providing technical accounting expertise, guidance and leadership within the global cost accounting team.
- Managing the preparation of and approving monthly closing entries and cost data schedules supporting the monthly operating statement.
- Serving as a partner with manufacturing sites to analyze, understand, communicate and quickly resolve issues.
- Updating schedules and develop cost factors for annual review of labor and machine rates.
- Reviewing gross profits for trends and/or costing problems.
- Responsible for creation of all Cost Accounting periodic reports, as well as Key Indicators/Business Success Factor reports and other analytical reports.
- Partnering with AP to ensure accuracy of raw materials/subcontract portion of Accounts Payable.
- Providing reports, schedules and other documents as required for external auditor’s year-end inventory observation and other audit procedures.
- Ensures the completion of monthly close procedures related to all elements of gross margin and inventory are completed timely.
- Prepares documentation of group procedures and update as necessary.
- Demonstrates creation of a group environment of continuous improvement and achievement of best practices for cost accounting procedures.
- Supports SOX compliance and ensure compliance with established.

Having earned a bachelor’s degree is one way to demonstrate your abilities. Other ways include sharing examples of accumulated learnings and experiences, including previous cost accounting roles, over a period of 5+years in a manufacturing environment with 3+years of team leadership.
