Position Summary
We're hiring an Endocrinologist to serve as a Thyroid Product Advisor for our new thyroid health program. In this role, you'll provide clinical expertise to shape our thyroid testing offerings, guide content development, and ensure our thyroid-related insights and recommendations meet the highest medical standards.
You'll be instrumental in building a best-in-class thyroid health solution—from biomarker selection and interpretation protocols to educational content and clinical workflows. This is an opportunity to translate your endocrinology expertise into a scalable platform that helps thousands understand and optimize their thyroid health.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Independent Contractor / Consultant
- Schedule: Flexible, approximately 5-10 hours per week with potential to scale
- Location: Fully remote (worldwide candidates welcome)
- Time: Flexible within US business hours (8 AM - 6 PM ET preferred for team collaboration)
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Protocol Development: Define which thyroid biomarkers to test, optimal testing protocols, and interpretation frameworks for various thyroid conditions
- Content & Education: Review and refine AI-generated insights, create educational materials, and develop guidance for thyroid-related recommendations
- Product Strategy: Advise on product features, user experience, and clinical workflows specific to thyroid health assessment and monitoring
- Quality Assurance: Review flagged cases, validate interpretation algorithms, and ensure clinical accuracy across the thyroid program
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our product, data science, and clinical teams to integrate endocrinology best practices into our platform
- Research Integration: Stay current with thyroid research and help incorporate emerging evidence into our testing and interpretation approach
- Case Consultation: Provide expert guidance on complex or edge cases that require specialized endocrinology knowledge
Required Qualifications
Must-have:
- MD or DO with board certification (or equivalent) in Endocrinology
- Active medical license in good standing
- Strong clinical background in thyroid disorders (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, Hashimoto's, Graves', thyroid nodules, etc.)
- Experience interpreting thyroid function tests (TSH, Free T3, Free T4, thyroid antibodies, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to translate complex endocrinology concepts for non-specialist audiences
- Comfort working with digital health tools and remote collaboration platforms
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in preventive or functional medicine approaches to thyroid health
- Background in digital health, health tech, or telemedicine
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in healthcare
- Experience developing clinical protocols or guidelines
- Interest in personalized medicine and health optimization beyond disease management
- Research publications or speaking experience in thyroid-related topics
Technical Requirements:
- Reliable internet connection
- Proficiency with video conferencing and collaborative tools (Slack, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Available for occasional synchronous meetings during US business hours
